Food Bank
We ignite the power of community by nourishing the people facing hunger.
We serve around 95 families in Cope, Joes, Kirk, and Idalia. Food is delivered by Food Bank of the Rockies in Denver.
We purchase food and they provide all the fresh produce to be served and dispersed to local community members in need. By taking the worries off our community members today, gives them hope for tomorrow! We open at 10 AM on a first come first serve basis. Please bring boxes and bags to fill with food we are handing out. Please call or email Grassroots if you are in need of a box but unable to get a box due to lack of resources.
The first Thursday of every month at 8 AM, volunteers please come to help unload our truck and organize the food on the tables. We all help hand out food as people go around the tables to pick up food. Also we help deliver to community members in need or lack resources to get their box.
